Hayshire is a My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic comic using our fan characters and putting them in a setting that is very minimally related with the show’s original characters and locations.

The main story is written and drawn by Bas in PaintTool SAI, who decided to use the prologue to just jump into drawing ponies as this is a learning experience. Profile images, additional drawings and also written by Starlight Gaze.  Potato contributes in small but very huge ways!

Starlight GazeStarlight Gaze
A student of Princess Luna, she loves observing stars and learning about the cosmos. Being born and raised in Canterlot, her etiquette is more refined than the ponies of Hayshire, however she finds herself almost instantly losing her cool at first…someone could use a nap.

Mayor BelfryMayor Batty Belfry
He has more than enough “bats in the belfry”, hence his cutie mark, but Mayor Belfry thinks it means he is destined to be a bat pony. He even had the blacksmith make him armour, which he claims is real, despite how inaccurate it looks.

Misery TearsMisery Tears
Daughter of Mayor Belfry, she is miserable all the time and has no qualms of making others just as miserable. No one can figure out the source of her melancholy, she is the richest filly in Hayshire and gets everything she desires. Is this the cause of her pain? No.

StonehengeStonehenge
Hayshire’s Shaman, a zebroid of the zebrass variety, he is always on hoof to dispense his favourite flowers to the ponies of the town to cure their ailments.



WhiskeyjackWhiskeyjack
A semi-retired soldier who settled down to peacefully run the town’s tavern, Prancing Pony Pub. Whiskeyjack is helpful and informative, but tends to hold back on certain topics.


BravewingBravewing
One of the pegasi in charge of weather, he is always brave and understanding. He isn’t always good at expressing himself, however.



Sushi SeashellsSushi Seashells
They don’t call her Seashells for nothing! Sushi is a hippocamp that loves to collect seashells. She likes to be helpful and give advice to her friends, but living in the water can be an obstacle for her when it comes to the land ponies.
